Meryl rumored to be in talks for "Cowboys and Indians"

The Times of India is reporting that Meryl may be in early talks to star alongside Indian actress Padma Shri Sridevi in a film entitled Cowboys and Indians (dots, not feathers).   From the article I've linked, they gave no indication what the story actually involves or when filming would be expected to begin.  I did a quick Google search to 1) find out who the hell Sridevi is (apparently she's a big deal in India) and 2) see if there is any other info on what this film may entail.   I came up short. It would be cool to see Meryl involved in a film with some Asian influence.

      I used the often utilized term "dots not feathers" to illustrate that the "Indians" for this film are likely natives of the country India and not American Indians or Native Americans. The former often have the red "bindi" dot that I believe has religious and other significance. The latter (American Indians) historically wore feathers in much of their clothing or decorative dress.

      Thanks for the info! I was surprised there wasn't a Wikipedia page about her. I'll be very interested to learn more about the possible pairing of her and Meryl and what the film may be about.

    sridevi is big big deal, she is beautiful, cute, funny, and amazing powerhouse talent with gorgeous eyes. If you want to see the amazing talent of sridevi watch Sadma, english vinglish, mr india, nagina and being no.1 in numerous indian film industries. I can't wait to see her act alongside greatest world actress mryle steep. she was once offered a film by spielberg who was in awe with her.

      Thanks for the link! I googled her full name and it didn't come up. I should've gone right to the Wikipedia page and typed it in. And it's on listed under "Sridevi." Pretty famous to go by one name. ;)

    Thanks for all the info, everyone. I just wish there was more info on what the film may actually be about. And so fare this news is so preliminary.       I saw that. There's really no new information other than that Sridevi has apparently confirmed "in talks." I'm still skeptical about this, as there have no reports from Hollywood about this. All sources have been Indian thus far. Time will tell of course.
