Two years of Word on the Streep
Today is the two year anniversary of Word on the Streep. I just wanted to give a shout out to any and all readers! After more than 250 posts, it's been more fun than I could have anticipated. I've thoroughly enjoyed the thoughts, viewpoints and feedback from commenters and hope you've enjoyed the site. The next six months is going to be jam-packed with Meryl news. Stay tuned!

Thank you Jeff for all your hard work. I always check here first for my Meryl fix and can always rely on you for good insight and knowledge of our Queen! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, CJames! Latest rumor is that Meryl is dropping to supporting for A:OC. More to follow...
DeleteThank you so much for all the great news and updates! Great site.
ReplyDeleteDid you see the news that Streep has taken herself out of the lead actress spot for Osage County and is going to be considered in supporting? Saw that on the Gold Derby site. I am quite surprised.
Sure did, Mary. Although I'm surprised by the switch, I think it may work out better for Streep's chances for an actual win.
DeleteMeryl would certainly be the frontrunner in supporting IF Amy Adans goes lead for Hustle...
ReplyDeleteThis just cries out fraud, I sincerely hope it isn't true. At certain ceremonies you can chose what category to go but at the Oscars they decide which category you run in.
ReplyDeleteUnless the screenplay gives her role less weight I cannot see how they could legitimately make her supporting.
I'd rather a nomination and loss in Lead than a win in supporting to be honest.
You're right, the Academy may put her lead. But if Meryl wants to break the record at some point with five, she really needs to win for this role.
DeleteCrap!! Streep is going supporting for A:OC!!!
