First trailer for season 2 of "Big Little Lies"--set to debut on HBO June 9

HBO has revealed its first teaser for season 2 of Big Little Lies:

Yay! We get to see a little more of Meryl toward the end, where her interaction with Reese Witherspoon suggests she's on to the lie the ladies of Monterey have spun to cover up the death of her son, Perry.

Like I'm sure many others, I was expecting the first trailer to be attached to tonight's opening of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones (canNOT wait). Maybe they'll still attach it to the opening of the show tonight. I have to remember that not everyone is freakishly checking for when any news of BLL will be revealed, and most will therefore see the new trailer for the first time when they tune in tonight for the network's juggernaut.

Season 2 debuts on Sunday, June 9.

  2. Let's hope it lives up to the quality of season 1. I read it will be campaigned in Drama series at the 2020 Emmys. What were people's thought on Meryl's interview with Glenda Jackson? She said she was taking some time off to be a grandma which was really sweet..

    1. I liked her interview with Glenda Jackson. It's tough to say what Meryl really means by "taking time off." I think her answer was in response to Jackson asking her if she was currently working in something. I suspect that Meryl wouldn't be filming anything right now regardless of whether she had just become a mom or not...and I seem to recall that the interview took place prior to Mamie giving birth, which I think was late February. Would be great if she filmed The Nix this summer of fall! JJ Abrams should be done with Star Wars soon?

    2. That would be terrific if she was free to do this. Still holding out hope for The Good House!

    3. God bless you. It's coming up on six years since it was announced. Hope gets smaller every year.
