Beatty and Dunaway did nothing wrong, anyone would be confused. I too am looking forward to the future now for Meryl. As usual, I'm most concerned about her screen performances to that I can see them whenever I want, but stage would be good too. I hope we get some update on The Nix very soon. Faye should have worn her glasses!

Your predictions were very accurate Jeff! I'm glad Moonlight got the award in the end, La La Land didn't seem to have the same level of soul.

I quite liked Meryl's dress, the colour suited her. Just sorry it was somewhat sullied by the stupid tabloid stories.

My biggest pleasure of the night was Viola winning, I was very pleased for her. Even though she should have gone lead this time and supporting for The Help.. but hey ho, a win is a win!

Now we just need to know what Meryl is doing next. I saw Imelda Staunton in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and she was incredible. I really want a dramatic turn from Meryl on stage in the not too distant future now all her children have left home.CJameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12937312863597687063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3751049975001656578.post-63413588587530321222017-02-26T23:31:35.716-06:002017-02-26T23:31:35.716-06:00WTF just happened? Or was it just a sad coincidence reminiscent of what supposedly happened in some beauty pageant a year or so ago? Regardless, it ruined an otherwise somewhat enjoyable evening. If, as Warren Beatty explained, his hesitance at reading the winner was because it said "Emma Stone for La La Land", then whose name was in the ballot when she was announced winner? Inquiring minds want to know. Ha, yup the runners-up are who I think are mostly likely second. I kind of like putting more than one name so that if that second name wins I feel better about my first prediction losing. I'm excited for some surprises. I read Viola said losing when you aren't a favourite is like falling from a first storey window. Losing when you're the favourite is akin to a fall from 100 storeys!

Just made me think how hard it must be when everyone says you're gonna win, yet you don't!CJameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12937312863597687063noreply@blogger.com
