The first Meryl Streep film I ever saw was "Silkwood", so this will always have a very special place in my heart. I was 15 when I saw this film, and remember being heartbroken when she lost the Oscar to Shirley McClaine. I was not even aware of who Meryl Streep was when she won the Oscar for Sophie's Choice. So it would 29 long, agonizing years and 13 nominations until I was able to experience the pure joy of seeing Meryl Streep actually win an Oscar.... Though mentioned in this posting, it is NOT my favorite (though anyone who knows Jeff realizes that to go tete a tete with him on this discussion would be futile). I know her best work has been done in her critically acclaimed serious movies, but I tend to love her brilliant work done in ones with happier endings! My older favs are "The French Lieutenant's Woman" (both a happy and not-so-happy ending), "Postcards From the Edge" (the first time we hear her singing very much), "Heartburn" (gotta love that ending!), and "Falling in Love". The newer ones that make me happy are:"Prada", "Mama Mia,""Julie and Julia", and "It's Complicated".Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17925952338837205593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3751049975001656578.post-4480308779060201712011-08-26T21:00:35.648-05:002011-08-26T21:00:35.648-05:00will this is really a hard question to answer...bu...will this is really a hard question to answer...but if i have to choose i will put it like this way...
my all time favorit meryl streep performance in in sophie's choice, i havents seen any performance like that in any movie and i'v seen a lot of movie...
than my all time best meryl streep movie is kramer vs kramer cos it's the first meryl's movie that i saw, and oh boy it was a love at first sight.....zikosakirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03590012874978553039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3751049975001656578.post-76302317961632173452011-08-23T22:44:59.581-05:002011-08-23T22:44:59.581-05:00Well, being the roommate of the blog's author,...Well, being the roommate of the blog's author, I have had the opportunity of seeing a couple of Meryl movies that I had missed over the years - "Bridges of Madison County" and "Sophie's Choice" - both of which I really enjoyed and which helped me to comprehend my roommate's fascination with her.
