Not familiar with the site but I'm guessing it's true. They have a shooting start date of May 22 in New York. I know that people are...It's difficult to say. I know that people are speculating because Meryl was with Hillary at Planned Parenthood thing this week. I imagine if there were a good enough script, Meryl could do it. Hillary has said she would choose Meryl. Most people would expect Meryl. But it might be sort of weird, since they're actually "friendly." My guess is that it will never happen with Meryl. Doubt was much superior to The Reader IMO.

I also felt The Bridges of Madison County should have got more recognition. Then there's Silkwood, A Cry in the Dark and Postcards which could have made the cut too..CJameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12937312863597687063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3751049975001656578.post-49350623205962010852017-04-29T14:26:42.337-05:002017-04-29T14:26:42.337-05:00I watched an interview or read somewhere recently ...I watched an interview or read somewhere recently (I know that's vague) that Meryl totally understands that every time she makes a film the expectations are huge. Huge for her to top herself, to come through for the studio in regard to finances. It's nothing new.

Charlie it's so funny that you suggested a poll because I was just the other day perusing some of the features on blogger that I never use and creating a poll is a good one that I feel would be fun. I may just make one in the next few days.

Would you suggest as a first poll actual films that were snubbed for Best Picture, or rolls of Meryl's? I kind of like the idea of films first, but there are probably not a lot that are reasonably contenders for Best Picture (sadly) over the last fifteen years. I guess Meryl knows how to deal with this and hopefully everyone brings their best!

Speaking of Spotlight, would be great to see Meryl back in a Best Picture nominated movie! Last time was The Hours. We should totally do a poll of her snubbed films! 😊CJameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12937312863597687063noreply@blogger.com
